Vitality is a design system that accentuates accessibility in a minimalistic approach. Crafted for dashboard environments, the components of Vitality Design are concocted with a single tone of a colour, and the other states of the components are achieved with different tints and shades of the same pure colour. This is a testimony to the system’s flexibility as it removes the need for screens to follow a fixed pre-defined palette.
In terms of typography, the entire scheme uses one font family – Montserrat. But visual distinction defines hierarchy, which is essential to create a good, digestible information architecture. This is achieved by choosing different weights & sizes. This ensures graphical consistency and congruity between different modules within a dashboard.
During the process of component creation, every iteration was accompanied by a round of contrast check to ensure all elements are compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. Vitality Design System is all about good readability, minimal colouring, intuitive patterns and forthright interface language – the essential checklist to create productive, fast-paced web-applications.
