I tell a story. Or I try. My pursuit is to bring ideas to life across dimensions—as product designs in 2D, as industrial designs in 3D, as animations on screen, as musical soundscapes in air, or as photographs slicing the continuum of time.
So I design, model, animate, compose, click—refusing to let my canvas be confined to the tangible. I push. Or I try.

In focus

Principle

In a spectrum between what’s true and what we want the truth to be, the process of design lives right in the middle. As much as it is about history, data and facts, it is also about belief, hope and vision.

Then design too is expression.
DESIGN ETHOS
In a spectrum between what’s true and what we want the truth to be,
the process of design lives right in the middle.

Design choices — as much as they are about history, data and facts,
they are also about belief, hope and vision.

Then design too becomes expression.

How I go about

Approach
I learn the problem as well as I can, as quick as possible. To empathise, I first understand what we’re solving, and who we're solving for. Then we calibrate the right balance between business goals, user experience and choice of heuristics.
Strategy
I try to talk to people who use or will use the product, if possible. Or rely on past feedback if you have any. Then we set a general design direction, before I get hands on with the ‘research to wireframe to prototype’ process.
Hand-off
If my scope ends with design, I’m available to work alongside developers for final implementation to ensure micro-interactions and other design intricacies are accurately translated.
creative process / 01

State & empathize

Articulating the problem as clear as possible
The first step is to address the whos, whats, and whys. I write down a simplified, disambiguated user story that captures the primary role of the person, what they want, and what they’re trying to achieve.
Follow the story on the right →
creative process / 02

Conceptualize

aka the act of frenzied, frivolous sketching
This is the most enjoyable phase in the process, where I visualize the future of the canvas under construction in a pretty nasty way, in all honesty.

For intuitive experiences, larger user journeys are mapped out with flowcharts first. Then every stage, stratum & screen gets a low-fidelity, hand-sketched layout.
creative process / 03

Low-fidelity design

aka 'I draw grey rectangles'
This seemingly mundane phase of faded-out boxes is super critical to prepare a strong visual foundation. I usually am guided by well-defined layouts & grids. It makes it easier to create structured, consistent interfaces with predictable hierarchy.

High-fidelity detailing

Pixel-perfect delivery
The final phase includes multiple steps like gathering graphic assets, creating colour swatches, defining typography, and orchestrating every element to its place.

From folks I've worked with

"Testimonial content I try to learn & research as much as possible before I place anything on the canvas. This involves user interviews, sessions with product owners, and understanding previous versions, if any. Basically, a whole lot of questioning."
